Kasbah Tamadot is magical retreat bought by Sir Richard Branson during one of his famous ballooning expeditions. Located in Asni, a small village at the foot of the spectacular Atlas Mountains, an area inhabited by the friendly Berbers.
The hotel has 28 rooms, and is perched on top of a valley with views of Mount Toubkal, in fact, in the Berber language, Kasbah Tamadot means 'breeze', everywhere you look around Kasbah Tamadot you will be surprised and delighted! From the unique design of each of the rooms, Suites and Berber tents, some with private pools, to the exceptional local customer service staff.
All rooms are individually decorated with traditional Moroccan furniture and antiques, as well as elements of the vast collection of Mr. Luciano Tempo, former owner of Kasbah Tamadot. As a well-known antique dealer and interior designer, Mr. Luciano brought together artefacts from around the world, many of which are inside the rooms and suites. Each room has a Berber name purely descriptive that tells something about it.
The Kanoun restaurant serves delicious local and international cuisine. The food they serve products bride and local flavors combined with a large selection of international wines and Moroccans.
Kasbah Tamadot is a succession of courtyards, gardens and charming corners, full of emotions like living in a typical Moroccan house, so hard to forget you'll only need to keep coming back.

We have three Superior Rooms; one looks out over the front courtyard, the other into an interior courtyard and the third is one of the three bedrooms in the Master Suite. The Superior Room in the Master Suite can only be booked separately withing two months prior to arrival.
All seven Deluxe Rooms have a balcony or terrace. One of the Deluxe Rooms forms part of the Master Suite and interconnects with the Deluxe Suite with pool (Kasbah Tamadot's only interconnecting room). All Deluxe Rooms have a garden, pool or mountain view.
All four Superior Suites offer a private balcony or terrace and are typically larger in size than the Deluxe Rooms. They have an open-plan sitting area and most can accommodate a roll away bed for one child.
The four tented suites are perched on the hillside with stunning views across the Atlas Mountain range and the valley below. Each tent features a king-size bed, large bathtubs for soaking while you gaze over the mountains, a terrace, sun loungers and outdoor dining space. Due to the tents’ hillside location they are not suitable for children aged 11 and under. As with all the rooms at Kasbah Tamadot the tents have Berber names that tell you something about them.
The Deluxe Suites occupy the premium locations for views of the valley and the Atlas Mountains. They are similar in size to the Superior Suites with an open-plan sitting area. Two of the suites can accommodate a roll away bed for one child.
Perched on the hillside overlooking a pretty valley below, the six Berber Tented Suites with Jacuzzis are the perfect location to soak up the sun on your very own private deck. All six suites are located a short stroll through the herb and vegetable garden and all have views of Mount Toubkal, the Atlas’ highest peak. They are perfect for those looking for a little more luxury and adventure. Each tent features a king-size bed, large bathtubs, a terrace with private Jacuzzi, sun loungers and space for outdoor dining.
The Master Suite is a miniature version of Kasbah Tamadot sitting out on a promontory and featuring three special rooms. Located near the glorious infinity pool, the Master Suite is ideal for families and features three bedrooms, a terrace and a private swimming pool. The building itself is rich in architectural detail and affords complete privacy.
There is a Deluxe Room and a Deluxe Suite at the lower level with a private pool, both generously laid out. These rooms can interconnect. On the upper floor is a compact Superior Room with a huge roof terrace. This configuration is perfect for a larger party, or those seeking a
true escape and complete privacy. Rooms within the Master Suite are generally not sold separately until two months before arrival, depending on availability.

The ambience, people, service and natural beauty of the resort were spectacular. But, the highlight of my trip was learning about the history of the area and resort and meeting your staff from the local towns. I will remember their kind, thoughtful generosity and the introduction to their villages and lifestyles for years to come.

His Opinion: Phantastisches Hotel, wunderschöne Zimmer, Lage perfekt als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Hohen Atlas. Sehr zuvorkommendes und aufmerksames Personal. Pool fantastisch, Fitnessbereich ok. Frühstück sehr gut, Abendessen gut.

His Opinion: The Kasbah Tamadot is a wonderful Hotel on a wonderful scenery spot in the high Atlas.
We spent a great time with a very sympathetic staff, good food, perfect service.
Nevertheless it is a rather expensive spot!
I think for a special hide away it is a perfect match!
I hope we will be back one day...

His Opinion: Le restaurant n’est pas a la hauteur du confort de l’hotel. Ce genre d’hotel merierait un chef d’un autre niveau de crativite. Le bar ou nous avons pris l’aperitif n’avait pratiwuement pas d’alcool ( un seul scotch).

His Opinion: Everything was wonderful, while so much thought has gone into the rooms, which lacked nothing.
Gardens were truly superb as well.
All staff could not have been friendlier.
Food in the evenings was good, but not what we would call 'fine dinning', like say the Chedi in Oman. Not that we had any complaints.

As I booked the Kasbah Tamdot I had the feeling to be kind of crazy. Such an amount of money for 2 nights!
It is still (at least for me) a lot of money but after my return I had a very good feeling and I think it is worth to invest in such a place. This is mainly due to the great hospitality of all your staff, (eg. provided an excellent dinner for my birthday under the stars on the rooftop terrace), the interior and taste of the rooms, the garden, the view , the nature, .......
